Vol. 376 No. 1

Written Answers - Surrender Grant Applications.

164.

asked the Minister for the Environment the number of persons who had applied for the £5,000 local authority surrender grant and had contracts signed for their new house before 31 March 1987 but did not get the £5,000 grant due to the fact that they had not been, by 31 March, resident in their council house for a period of at least three years.

As applications for the surrender grant are handled by housing authorities up to payment stage, the information sought by the Deputy is not available in the Department.
