asked the Minister for Education the reason one of the concession posts granted to Our Lady of Lourdes national school Islandbridge Dublin 8, which was granted under the scheme for disadvantaged areas, has been withdrawn; in view of her statement that concession posts in disadvantaged areas would not be affected, if she will agree to the restoration of the concession post; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

As a concession to schools which have additional posts allocated under my Department's special scheme for schools serving disadvantaged areas, I have agreed that these schools may retain such posts for the present, even though normal staffing levels have fallen below the minimum required.
The authorities of the school referred to by the Deputy have been notified accordingly.
