Vol. 376 No. 5

Written Answers. - Ballycahill (County Tipperary) School.

226.

asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the deplorable condition of the prefabricated building at Ballycahill national school, County Tipperary and the hardship suffered by students and teachers who are forced to endure these conditions; the plans, if any, she has to replace this inadequate accommodation; when she expects the alternative to come into operation; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

A grant has been sanctioned by my Department towards the cost of replacing the prefabricated classroom referred to at Ballycahill national school, County Tipperary.

I understand that a contract has been placed for the provision of the unit and that the work is to be put in hand at an early date.
