asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will give details of the number of people (a) in ACOT and (b) AFT who have applied for voluntary redundancy/early retirement; and if he will give a breakdown of such applications in terms of (i) age (ii) salary range (iii) category and grade (iv) average lump sum offered and (v) average pension offered.

Applications for the voluntary redundancy/early retirement package are still being processed by ACOT and AFT and the details sought are not yet available. It is understood that 258 applications have been received by AFT and 83 by ACOT. The latter body is still dealing with a number of inquiries from further potential applicants.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the numbers of those in his Department who have to date requested that they be allowed to avail of the voluntary redundancy/early retirement scheme, giving details of the grades involved.
