Vol. 377 No. 3

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Benefit.

66.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if the correct rate of disability benefit and pay related benefit are being paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

The person concerned claimed disability benefit from 16 November 1987 and payment has been issued to 27 January 1988, the date of the latest medical certificate received.

Between 6 December 1986 and 23 January 1987 the person concerned was overpaid a total of £343.55 disability benefit. This amount is being recovered by weekly deductions of £6 per week from her current entitlement of £47.15 plus pay related benefit of £5.60 weekly. A balance of £202.40 is still outstanding.
