Vol. 377 No. 5

Written Answers. - Dromore (Donegal) National School.

55.

asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the substandard quality of prefabricated classrooms at Dromore national school, Killygordon, County Donegal; the plans, if any, there are to provide a new school or an extension to the existing school at Dromore; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

My Department have received for their consideration a sketch scheme for a five classroom extension at Dromore national school, Co. Donegal. Due to the pressures on the funds available to my Department for their national schools building programme it will not be possible to advance further for the present the architectural planning of the extension.

In view of the Deputy's reference to the quality of the prefabricated classrooms, I am having inquiries made as to the condition of these structures and will advise the Deputy of developments in due course.
