asked the Minister for Finance if he will indicate the number of staff in his Department by grade who have accepted voluntary redundancy or early retirement since 1 July 1987; and the number of persons by grade appointed to fill the consequential vacancies.

The number of staff in my Department and in the offices under my aegis who have accepted voluntary redundancy or early retirement since 1 July 1987 is set out below:
