Vol. 378 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

87.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in having a final inspection carried out in respect of a new house grant for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny where all requested information was sent to his Department on 10 January 1988 by registered post; and if the application qualifies for both a new house grant and a builder's grant.

There has been no undue delay; an inspection, with a view to payment of a £2,000 grant, will be carried out as soon as possible. A £2,250 "builders" grant cannot be allowed, as contrary to the conditions of the scheme the contract for the construction of the house had been entered into before October 1986.

89.

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of a house improvement grant in respect of windows will be made to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 11 as the work has been completed and approved.

asked the Minister for the Environment whether a house improvement grant has been or will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There is no record of the receipt of an application for a house improvement grant from the person named.

91.
