Vol. 378 No. 9

Written Answers. - Wicklow Factory.

142.

asked the Minister for Labour if he will give the up-to-date position regarding the VEHA factory in Wicklow town, County Wicklow; and if the former workers have still a set of pre-conditions regarding any possible new owner of the factory.

I have been keeping in close touch with the situation and will continue to do so.

The present position is that the liquidator is actively continuing with his efforts to sell the business and that the former workforce are still maintaining a number of pre-conditions in respect of a reopening of the plant.
