asked the Minister for Health if there is a redundancy scheme available to the nursing staff in a hospital (details supplied) in County Meath; and the details of the scheme.

In accordance with the Government's decision, details of the public service early retirement-voluntary redundancy scheme have been circulated to all personnel aged 50 or over in the NorthEastern health board area including the hospital to which the Deputy refers.

Guidelines in relation to the processing of applications for voluntary redundancy are being issued to the health board in question.
