Cattle headage and suckler cow premium grants have been withheld in this case since 1986 when my Department became aware that the person named had failed to declare his off-farm income for that year and the previous five years for these EC funded schemes.
He has now submitted forms P60 for income tax years ended 5 April 1982, 1986 and 1987 but not for the years ended 5 April 1981, 1983, 1984 and 1985. When he submits these documents the question of recovery of any grants overpaid for 1981 to 1988 and the payment of a balance, if any, of grants due for 1986 and 1987 will be considered.
