The superannuation of vocational teachers is governed by the local government superannuation code, which is administered by the Department of the Environment. Accordingly, the question of granting superannuation credit to vocational teachers in respect of days lost due to strike action in 1985-86 is primarily a matter for the Minister for the Environment.
Consultations are at present taking place between my Department and the Department of the Environment in the matter.
