The prevailing surface winds in February for each of the past five years were as follows: 1984 — Southerly to Westerly; 1985 — Easterly; 1986 — Easterly; 1987 — Overall no predominant direction but there were significant spells of easterly, southerly, and light winds which varied a lot in direction; 1988 — Westerly.

The above information is based on wind data measured at Dublin Airport in the east of Ireland and at Belmullet in the west.

Deputy Cooney must be going on a sailing trip next February.

The wind blows from Deputy Cooney's constituency towards my constituency.
