Vol. 379 No. 7

Written Answers. - Meath Sheltered Workshop.

54.

asked the Minister for Health if he has received a request from the North Eastern Health Board for national lottery funds to be made available for the Meath sheltered workshop, County Meath; if so, when he is expected to make a decision on this request; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have on hands a very considerable number of applications from voluntary agencies for assistance from the health allocation of national lottery proceeds including a request from the North Eastern Health Board for funds for the Meath sheltered workshop. Departmental officials have been in contact with the health board seeking additional information on the workshop. I expect to be in a position to reach a decision regarding the balance of the Health allocation of national lottery proceeds in the near future when the successful agencies will be notified immediately.
