Vol. 380 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

39.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when payment of cattle premia and headage grants will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

The person named has been paid his 1987 cattle and equine headage, calf premium and special beef premium schemes grants already. He did not apply for grants under the 1987 suckler cow scheme.

40.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a farm development grant for an effluent tank, a silage slab and a slatted house will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Clare.

Two claims under the farm improvement programme for payment of grants of £2,003 and £6,045 respectively have been received and will be paid as soon as practicable. All claims under the programme are dealt with strictly in order of receipt. Payments are being phased in such a way as to ensure adherence to the amount provided in the Vote. Consequently, there is some delay in making grant payments.
