I have recently given approval to the Midland Health Board for the equipping and commissioning of Phase 1 of the development at Mullingar Hospital. Approval has also issued to the board for the commencement of planning on phase 2 of the development during 1988. The revenue implications of the development are the subject of discussion between officials of my Department and the Midland Health Board.
