Vol. 380 No. 7

Written Answers. - Permanent Anglo-Irish Parliamentary Tier.

20.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he will outline the Government's attitude to the proposed establishment of a permanent Anglo-Irish parliamentary tier.

The possible establishment of an interparliamentary body is a matter for parliamentary decision in London and Dublin. As I indicated in reply to a similar question on 4 November of last year, the Government would welcome the early establishment of such a body and, once established, would give it every appropriate support.
