Vol. 380 No. 9

Written Answers. - Consumers' Association of Ireland Funding.

58.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the Consumers' Association of Ireland may have to be wound up in the autumn of this year due to lack of adequate funding and the loss of European funding; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am not aware that the Consumers' Association of Ireland is considering winding up its operation. I outlined the position with regard to a request by the association for Government funding in response to questions on 2 March and 27 April.
