Vol. 381 No. 4

Written Answers. - Letterkenny (Donegal) School.

159.

asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the proposal to build a new school for Little Angels, Letterkenny, County Donegal; and when building operations are expected to commence.

I have agreed that essential classroom accommodation and other necessary facilities should be provided at Little Angels Special National School, Letterkenny, County Donegal at the earliest possible date this year. The school's architect has been authorised to obtain a price from the selected builder for a scheme for essential classroom accommodation and other facilities. When this price is forwarded to the Department I will be in a position to decide on a grant level for the project and to authorise the contract to be placed on this basis. I am not in a position to say, at this stage, when building works will commence.
