I have very recently received a report from Skibbereen Urban District Council in relation to job losses in the town of Skibbereen.
The Industrial Development Authority has statutory responsibility for the implementation of national industrial development policy. I am informed by the IDA that it has been actively promoting Skibbereen for the full range of new industry. In particular IDA has undertaken extensive promotion of its small industry programme in the area recently.
