asked the Minister for Labour the total number of cases referred by conciliation officers to the Labour Court for the period 1 January 1987 to 31 December 1987.

asked the Minister for Labour the total number of cases referred for conciliation with officers of the Labour Court during the period 1 January 1987 and 31 December 1987.

155.

asked the Minister for Labour the total amount of disputes settled at conciliation level between 1 January 1987 and 31 December 1987.

asked the Minister for Labour the total number of recommendations issued by the Labour Court as a result of full hearing between 1 January 1987 and 31 December 1987.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 148, 150, 155 and 157 together.

During 1987, 1,787 disputes were referred to the Conciliation Service of the Labour Court. Of these, 1,151 disputes were settled at conciliation while 556 were referred to the court by industrial relations officers. In the same period the Labour Court issued 837 recommendations, reports, decisions, etc. as a result of full hearings of the court.
