May I raise on the Adjournment the continuing procrastination of the Minister for Education to place a contract for a much needed, long awaited community school in Ballinrobe, County Mayo?

I will communicate with the Deputy in respect of that matter.

May I also raise on the Adjournment the administration of the aliens section in the Department of Justice because of the difficulties experienced by people seeking to obtain residence permits in this State.

I will communicate with the Deputy.

I should like to raise on the Adjournment the subject matter of Question No. 57 on Thursday, 12 May 1988, to which I received a written reply from the Minister for Justice. I would also refer the Taoiseach to item No. 49 on today's Order Paper relating to the special report of the Committee of Public Accounts on the future role of the Committee and the Comptroller and Auditor General. Since the Committee of Public Accounts and the Comptroller and Auditor General both carry out very important work on behalf of this House, I would ask the Taoiseach to consider a debate for even two hours on this important report, which took six months to compile, before the House adjourns for the summer recess.

I will have a word with the Chief Whip about the matter.

I wish to raise on the Adjournment the scandalous failure of the Government to allocate any funds from the recent lottery allocation to the Finglas area, despite the number of legitimate applications and in contrast with the experience of the rest of the country.

I will communicate with the Deputy.

I wish to raise on the Adjournment the failure of the Department of Education to provide for or secure proper accommodation for Gaelscoil Míde in my constituency, with the result that 182 pupils are left in wholly unsatisfactory accommodation at five different locations.

I will communicate with the Deputy.

In view of the decision to disallow the Private Notice Question in my name and that of Deputy Spring. I wish to raise on the Adjournment the fact that, according to senior medical staff in the Meath Hospital, standards there are endangering lives.

I will communicate with the Deputy.

I wish to raise on the Adjournment the implications of the closure of the psychiatric services at the Regional Hospital in Galway.

I will be in touch with the Deputy about that matter.
