Vol. 382 No. 1

Written Answers. - Pigs and Bacon Commission Pensioners.

83.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason employees of the Pigs and Bacon Commission have not received a pension from their employment with the commission; the total amount of pension funds collected from the employees; where it is invested; and when the former employees will receive a pension.

Information relating to the day-to-day operation of the Pigs and Bacon Commission is not available to me. However, I understand that those former employees of the commission who are entitled to pensions in accordance with the terms of the Pigs and Bacon Commission superannuation scheme, SI No 239 of 1971, are in receipt of the appropriate pensions.
