Vol. 382 No. 1

Written Answers. - Kilkenny Design Workshops.

105.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the way in which it is proposed to dispose of the assets of Kilkenny Design Workshops' shops and stocks; if it is decided to close the shops, if they will be sold by way of public auction or private tender; and if by private tender, the names of those who will decide from whom tenders will be invited.

I announced on 26 May 1988 that Kilkenny Design Workshops (KDW) will be making arrangements for the sale of their shops at Kilkenny and Dublin as going concerns. On that basis the sale would include stock in trade and other assets in the shops. The sale of the shops and the manner of their disposal are matters for the board of Kilkenny Design Workshops and an acting chief executive has been recently appointed to assist the board in this matter.
