asked the Minister for the Environment the reason it has taken 16 weeks from sanction for payment of a grant to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; when payment will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason it has taken 24 weeks since approval, for a house improvement grant to be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath; when payment will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There was no undue delay. Certain information had to be requested from the applicant on a number of occasions. This has since been received and the grant will be paid as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a final inspection will be carried out for a house improvement grant for a person (details supplied) in County Carlow.

asked the Minister for the Environment whether his Department has received a mortgage subsidy application from a person (details supplied) in County Cork; and when payment will issue.

The claim form of the first instalment of the mortgage subsidy was received on 7 June, 1988 and payment will be paid as soon as possible.
