Vol. 382 No. 9

Written Answers. - Dental Service for Adults.

167.

asked the Minister for Health if he will make a statement on the delays in dental waiting lists; and in particular, when a person (details supplied) in Dublin 10 will be provided with a set of dentures.

The Eastern Health Board have no record of an application for dental treatment from the person concerned. However an application form for dental treatment has now been forwarded to him for completion and when completed and returned his name will be put on the board's waiting list.

I am particularly concerned with the level of dental service available for eligible adults at present. My colleague the Minister of State, Deputy T. Leyden, has, at my request, recently completed a review of dental services which contains some proposals for the improvement of the service for adults and I am considering these proposals at present.
