Vol. 382 No. 9

Written Answers. - County Mayo National Schools.

183.

asked the Minister for Education if she has received representations in respect of the threat of a teacher being lost to Mount Pleasant national school, County Mayo; if she has examined the factual numbers position relevant to the next three years; and if she will confirm that no teacher will be lost to the school as a result, in 1988.

Representations received from the school authorities in the case have been considered. However, as the continuance of the post in question is not warranted under the new arrangements for teacher appointments in national schools from 1 December 1988 it would not be open to me to make an exception to the regulations.
