asked the Minister for Education the number of primary teachers in County Donegal who have been offered redundancy terms; the number of schools involved; and the number of schools where more than one teacher has been offered the terms.

asked the Minister for Education the total number of national school teachers offered redundancies; the breakdown of the total by county, where the teachers are now employed; the breakdown by years of service for each year from the longest serving to the shortest serving; the number of those offered redundancy who were actually teaching as of 1 June last; the number who were on leave of absence or secondment; the total annual salaries of all of those offered redundancies; the total, if the redundancy payments of all of those offered redundancy, accepted it; and the maximum and minimum redundancy offered to any one teacher.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 199, 203, 204, 208, 209, 211, 212, 217, 221, 222, 227 and 236 together.

In regard to national teachers, the information sought by the Deputies is being compiled and will be forwarded to them as soon as possible.

The number of post-primary teachers who applied for voluntary redundancy from schools in the counties named by the Deputies is set out hereunder:—
