asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the extension of Carrick national school, County Donegal; the extra accommodation which is being provided; the stage planning is at; and when work will commence on the project.

The position regarding the proposed extension to Carrick national school, County Donegal, remains as set out in the reply of 9 March 1988, to the Deputy's previous question.

The question of whether the project in question can be further advanced in the present financial year is under consideration and I shall inform the Deputy of developments in due course.

234.

asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the proposed new school for Drumkeen, County Donegal; the accommodation being provided; the stage planning is at; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Tender documentation has been prepared for a proposed new school at Drumkeen, County Donegal.

Because, however, of the pressure on capital available to my Department for the national schools building programme it is not at present possible to advance this case further.
