A special area of residence analysis of the live register is carried out quarterly on the second last Friday of February, May, August and November. On 20 May 1988 there were 1,325 persons on the live register who were residing in County Leitrim and signing at the following local employment offices: Ballyshannon, 75; Belturbet, 74; Carrick-on-Shannon, 803; Longford, 30; Manorhamilton, 343.
