asked the Minister for Social Welfare the total number of (a) redundancies (b) early retirements sanctioned so far under the Government's redundancy and early retirement scheme for his Department by number and category.

In my Department, no redundancies have been sanctioned under the Government's redundancy and early retirement scheme. To date, a total of 54 early retirements have been sanctioned as set out below:

There have been no redundancies in my Department. The total number of early retirements which have been sanctioned in my Department to date is 25 as set out in the table below.
