Vol. 382 No. 11

Written Answers. - Waterford City Archaeological Excavations.

51.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will allocate sufficient funds to ensure that the archaeological excavations being carried out in Waterford city are fully catalogued.

It has been decided to provide from the fund of £1 million already allocated to the proposed National Heritage Council a sum of £70,000 for the purpose of the very important archaeological excavations in Waterford city. This will enable the post-excavation analysis and recording work to be undertaken.
