asked the Taoiseach the total amount of moneys allocated to date from the proceeds of the national lottery through his Department; the total amount of actual payments made; the total reserves still available if any from the national lottery; the amount likely to be spent in the current year; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 65, 66 and 69 together. A sum of £14.96 million has been allocated to date to my Departments from the proceeds of the national lottery for arts and culture and Irish Language related projects — £3.147 million for 1987 and £11.813 million for 1988.
Details of the projects assisted through the Department of the Taoiseach, including the amounts actually paid to date and the anticipated profile, are set out in Appendix 1 which is being circulated with the Official Report.
The list of countries from which the approved applications were received is in Appendix 2 which is also being circulated with the Official Report, with the cultural agencies/projects of a national dimension being indicated separately.
Details regarding grants from Roinn na Gaeltachta are listed in Appendices 3 and 4.
