Vol. 383 No. 3

Written Answers. - Kerry Teacher Redundancies.

151.

asked the Minister for Education the number of Kerry teachers employed by the Vocational Education Committee in County Kerry who have been offered redundancy by her Department; the names of the teachers; the subjects they were teaching; the total amount of money each teacher received; their pension entitlement; and any other gratuities allocated to them.

The County Kerry Vocational Education Committee have been authorised by my Department to apply the terms of the voluntary redundancy scheme to four teachers. The selection of the four teachers to be granted voluntary redundancy and the amount of the benefits payable in each case under the terms of the scheme are questions in the first instance for the County Kerry Vocational Education Committee.
