The application from Waterford Harbour Commissioners for EC assistance for the provision of new port facilities at Bellview, County Kilkenny, is under consideration in my Department for submission to the Department of Finance with a view to having it included in the regional development plan which Ireland is required to submit to the European Commission in order to qualify for assistance from the enlarged structural funds. For that purpose further information has been requested from the Waterford Harbour Commissioners.
