Vol. 383 No. 3

Written Answers. - Ministerial Visits.

93.

asked the Minister for the Marine the number of ports and fishing facilities he has visited during the past twelve months; the locations and the dates of these visits; and the groups he met in the course of these visits.

As part of my functions as Minister for the Marine, I am in regular contact with the fishing and commercial port sectors both at the headquarters of my Department and at locations throughout the country.

It would be impossible, without an exhaustive analysis of my diary, to provide the full details requested by the Deputy. I have, however, visited a significant number of ports/harbours since my appointment as Minister and have used the opportunity presented by those visits to meet groups connected with or interested in the operation of those ports/harbours.
