Vol. 383 No. 6

Written Answers. - National Lottery Fund Allocations.

214.

asked the Minister for Health the reason no funding was made available under the national lottery for the Irish Association for Victim Support; and if the matter will be reconsidered.

I have received a very considerable number of requests for assistance from the national lottery available to my Department. However, as the Deputy will appreciate it has been possible to accede to only a relatively small number of these requests due to the limited funds available. I am afraid that I can hold out little hope of being in a position to assist the Irish Association for Victim Support in the current year.

215.

asked the Minister for Health if he will give a breakdown of all national lottery funds allocated by him in 1988 to (a) each of the 68 women's groups formerly funded by the Council for the Status of Women (details supplied) (b) any other organisations of a similar nature catering for women, parents and children and (c) local community development associations.
