asked the Minister for Energy if he will make a statement indicating whether he asked Bord Fáilte to withdraw objections which they had lodged in relation to a proposal by the ESB to build a new hydroelectric station (details supplied) in County Kerry; if he will give the basis for his action in this matter; whether he has acted in this way in relation to any other similar planning matters; and if he will explain what mechanism he used in order to bring his influence to bear in this way.
