asked the Minister for Defence the number and value of the companies, assets or property disposed of or privatised by his Department since February 1987.

Limerick West): My Department have disposed of the following properties since February 1987: Nos. 3 and 4 Glenavon Terrace, Athlone (former Officers Quarters); No. 7 Bay Estate, Dundalk (Officers Quarters); 81 Sites for houses at Knockalisheen, County Clare; Site of former married quarters, Stephen's Barracks, Kilkenny; Former National School, Ballinalacken, County Clare; Former Rifle Range, Ballyclough, County Limerick.

Sales have been agreed but the legal formalities have not yet been completed in respect of the following properties: Camden House, Fort Camden, County Cork; 9 houses on Bere Island, County Cork; Site of former married quarters, Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin; The Camp Site, Fort Shannon, Tarbert, County Kerry; Site of former married quarters, Arbour Hill, Dublin 7 (Dublin Corporation in possession under a Caretaker's Agreement); Miniature range Boyle Military Post, County Roscommon; Football pitch, Knockalisheen, County Clare; Plot of land at Assumption Road, Cork; C.D. Range, Haywood Road, Clonmel, County Tipperary; 103 Foxfield Grove, Raheny, Dublin 5 (Officers Quarters); Bennett House, Kildare (Officers Quarters).

Total receipts from the disposal of the foregoing properties amount to £642,000 approximately. My Department have handed back the following properties to the Office of Public Works since February 1987: Griffith Barracks, Dublin; Magazine Fort, Phoenix Park, Dublin.
