asked the Minister for Education if she will restore the third teacher in Cloonlyon national school, Charlestown, County Mayo on the basis that the school has 73 pupils on rolls and in view of the fact that the number in one class exceeds 35; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

My Department have authorised the appointment of a replacement teacher at this school. The chairman of the board of management has already been notified.
