Vol. 383 No. 8

Written Answers. - Knocklyon (Dublin) Additional Teachers.

53.

asked the Minister for Education if she will take immediate action to provide additional necessary classroom accommodation for St. Colmcille's senior and junior schools, Knocklyon, County Dublin; and if she will sanction the appointment of additional teachers to the schools in order that both the necessary staffing and accommodation is provided to enable the schools to provide proper educational facilities to the pupils.

An application for additional classrooms has been received from the school authorities and is under consideration in my Department.

As regards staffing, the appropriate staffing for each school has been determined in accordance with the agreement between the Government and the INTO worked out under the auspices of the Central Review Committee for the Programme for National Recovery.
