Vol. 383 No. 8

Written Answers. - Income Tax Liability.

84.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will investigate the circumstances of an income tax bill for a person (details supplied) in County Waterford whose previous employers had not made any PAYE or PRSI returns on his behalf.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that the Inspector of Taxes is investigating certain aspects of this case. In the meantime, if the taxpayer produces to his inspector, pay slips or other documentary evidence showing that PAYE tax was deducted from his income, his liability will be reviewed as soon as possible.
