Written Answers. - Flights to US West Coast.

74.

asked the Minister for Tourism and Transport if he has succeeded in obtaining rights for Aer Lingus to fly to the west coast of America.

Initial discussions with the United States were held in Washington on 24 October 1988 on the question of securing, inter alia, rights for Irish airlines to provide services to the west coast of America. The discussions were not concluded at the Washington meeting and will be resumed in Dublin early in the New Year.
