Vol. 384 No. 5

Written Answers. - State-owned Vehicles.

147.

asked the Minister for Energy the number of vehicles which are owned by his Department, or by agencies or State boards under his aegis; and the number of these vehicles which are capable of using lead free petrol.

A total of 247 vehicles are owned by the Department of Energy, of which 236 are used for Forestry purposes. Only two are petrol driven and these cannot be converted to the use of lead free petrol. The remaining vehicles all run on diesel.

I do not have the information requested by the Deputy in respect of the State-sponsored bodies under my aegis, as this is a matter for their day-to-day administration.
