Vol. 384 No. 5

Written Answers. - Tax Rebate.

49.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will make a statement on the application for tax rebate of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 7 in view of the fact that Deputy Michael Keating has made representations but to date has not received a satisfactory reply thereto.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that the outstanding details, required to enable the taxpayer's claim for repayment on the grounds of unemployment to be dealt with, were only recently submitted by the taxpayer's former employer. The claim will now be processed and a cheque in settlement of the refund due will be issued to the taxpayer shortly.
