Vol. 384 No. 7

Written Answers. - Sale of County Tipperary Woodland.

35.

asked the Minister for Energy in respect of the recent advertisement regarding the sale by public tender of Ward Park Wood, Dundrum, County Tipperary (a) the exact area of woodland-forest offered for sale (b) the closing date of sale (c) the number of tenders received and (d) the date on which the successful tender will be announced.

The information requested by the Deputy is as follows: (a) the area of woodland-forest offered for sale is 7.4 hectares; (b) the closing date of sale is dependent on the completion of the normal legal formalities; (c) the number of tenders received is, for obvious reasons, confidential; (d) the party who submitted the successful tender has already been advised that his tender has been accepted and arrangements are in train to complete the sale.

This transaction arises out of the offer for sale, by public tender competition, of immature forests, announced in the national press in August 1988.
