Vol. 384 No. 7

Written Answers. - Tralee, Kerry, Hospital Facilities.

64.

asked the Minister for Health when it is proposed to make available eye, ear and throat facilities in the General Hospital, Tralee, County Kerry.

There are no proposals at present to provide eye, ear and throat facilities in the General Hospital, Tralee. These are regional specialties and services for patients from Cork and Kerry are provided in the Cork Regional Hospital and in the South Infirmary-Victoria Hospital. The service will be expanded in the near future by the appointment of an additional ophthalmologist and an ear, nose and throat specialist.
