Vol. 384 No. 7

Written Answers. - Maternity Services Information.

69.

asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the Association for Improvements in the Maternity Services, which had previously received funding from the now defunct Health Education Bureau towards the production of an information booklet on the facilities and policies of the maternity units within the Dublin area, which information is provided with the co-operation of the hospitals themselves and which is difficult, if not impossible, for an individual to obtain, applied to the health promotion unit of his Department in August 1988 for a small grant towards up-dating and publishing their booklet; that they have not received an acknowledgement from the health promotion unit; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The health promotion unit has received a request for funding from the Association for Improvements in the Maternity Services for the reprinting of their information booklet. The association has been invited to meet with officials to discuss the application.
