Vol. 384 No. 8

Written Answers. - County Kerry Bridge.

208.

asked the Minister for the Environment his present proposals for the replacement of Blennerville Bridge, Tralee, Country Kerry.

The planning and development of proposals for the Blennerville Bridge and approaches scheme is a matter, in the first instance, for the local authority concerned, Kerry County Council.

On 11 January, 1987, the then Minister annulled a compulsory purchase order made by the local authority in respect of property for the route alignment proposed for the southern approach to the site of the proposed bridge.

It is a matter for the local authority to proceed with the detailed planning of any alternative proposals and, if considered necessary, to initiate procedures for the acquisition of any property required. No proposals for an alternative scheme have been received in the Department to date.
