asked the Minister for Education if she accepts the need for the Youth Encounter Project in Ballymun, Dublin 11, in view of the large number of young persons who have dropped out of school in this area; and if she will undertake to ensure that the project gets underway during the new academic year.

A number of approaches have been made to me for the establishment of a youth encounter project in Ballymun, Dublin. I have also had meetings with the Principals of a number of local schools in the area on this matter. I am at present considering the information on, and details of, the establishment of such a project.
